East Mississippi Community College will be holding a total of five stunt clinics during the current academic year in advance of the Lions’ cheerleading tryouts for the following academic year.

On the heels of hiring new head cheer coach Sarah Thompson, the East Mississippi Community College cheerleading team for the 2025-26 academic year has been announced.
With coaching and competition experience within the Mississippi junior college ranks as well as at the NCAA level, Sarah Thompson has been named the new head cheerleading coach at East Mississippi Community College. The announcement was made this week by Sharon Thompson, EMCC’s Director of Athletics and Dean of Students for the Scooba Campus.
